The Tanzania Alliance for Biodiversity (TABIO) is proud to announce its participation in the 11th Agroforestry Exhibition, scheduled to take place in Musoma, Tanzania. Organized by Vi Agroforestry, the exhibition brings together a diverse group of stakeholders committed to advancing agroforestry, landscape restoration, environmental conservation, and sustainable natural resource management.
This year’s exhibition is guided by the theme:
“Agroforestry for Youth and Green Investment”
The theme highlights the important role of young people in transforming agroforestry systems while promoting investments that support economic growth alongside environmental sustainability. It reflects the growing recognition that youth participation and green investment are essential pillars for building resilient communities and sustainable landscapes.
For several years, TABIO has continued implementing technical training and capacity-building initiatives across Tanzania with the goal of increasing community awareness and practical knowledge in biodiversity conservation, agroforestry, sustainable agriculture, natural resource management, and environmentally friendly production practices.
Through this experience, TABIO has strengthened its position as an important stakeholder contributing to sustainable production systems and community development.
From the 10th Exhibition to the 11th Edition
TABIO’s participation this year builds on lessons and achievements from the 10th Agroforestry Exhibition held in 2025, which was conducted under the theme:
“Agroforestry for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth.”
That edition emphasized ensuring that agroforestry development benefits all members of society through inclusive approaches while strengthening environmental protection and community resilience.
In the 11th edition, TABIO is participating as a Technical Partner, collaborating with implementing partners under the ASILI B CC Programme to strengthen the capacity of communities, farmer groups, and local institutions in:
- Biodiversity conservation
- Sustainable land management
- Climate change resilience building
- Knowledge sharing and community engagement
What to Expect During This Year’s Exhibition The exhibition will provide an important platform for TABIO to:
- Participate in technical discussions and learning sessions;
- Engage in policy dialogue on agroforestry development;
- Exchange knowledge and experiences with national and international stakeholders;
- Contribute to discussions on implementing the National Agroforestry Strategy and related environmental frameworks;
- Promote sustainable investment opportunities linked to agroforestry and biodiversity conservation.
